Businesses Without Websites Are Finding It Harder To Survive In Today’s World
I speak with a lot of business owners. That’s my job. I help local businesses market their business and website to create a constant flow of customers at a reduced cost. I do that with successful internet marketing techniques.
I know that these techniques work. I used them successfully in my own offline moving business. But in my present job I find that a lot of the local businesses don’t even have a website, let alone run an online marketing campaign.
I also run into a lot of businesses that have old, antiquated html style websites that look hideous and unprofessional. So I started to ask these business owners why this was so. You know what I found out?
Small local business owners just don’t have the time or “money” to properly market themselves on line.
Factually, neither argument is valid. Why?
- Because using online marketing techniques are largely free, and
- Because one could always hire a company like mine to run their online campaigns for them at little cost to them.
No; what is really holding these businesses back is lack of knowledge and fear.
Most businesses owners really don’t conceptualize how important the internet is to their business’ survival in today’s world. They don’t understand the return on investment (ROI) that can be achieved by having a simple thing like a professional, functional website.
Here are some facts for you:
- 80% of the population under 40 go to the search engines like Google and Yahoo.
- 60% of those people will pick up the phone or come into the business that they found on the internet.
- Yellowpages and newspaper advertising is dwindling downward and are in fact going out of business in many cases.
- Yellowpages are actually being outlawed in some cities and communities because they waste paper.
Businesses without websites or success website marketing campaign are quickly becoming a dying breed. While there are exceptions to this rule, the facts and statistics show that this will not be the case in about 5 to 10 years.

Then start working on a successful internet marketing campaign by using tools like Twitter, Facebook and Youtube, etc. Don’t have the time then hire a company like mine to do it for you.
Don’t be stupid or lazy. Having a dominating presence on the internet is increasingly more vital to a prosperous and expanding business than ever before. Soon businesses without website will be a thing of the past and something that we write about in history books.
