How Two Simple, Yet Powerful Rules Can Catapult Your Business To The Moon And Without Them You Might As Well Not Be In Business!
There are only two rules that a business must implement and enforce if they are to be successful. Without these two rules you might as well not be in business…they are this powerful.
Lets look at any successful business. I don’t which one you pick. Now compare that business to one that is not doing so well. Why is the one that is doing well, doing well and the one that is not doing well, not doing well? What is the magic formula? IS there even a magic formula?
Well there is no magic formula, but there is 2 simple, yet amazingly powerful rules, that if implemented and enforced, do work like magic. So what are they?
- Tell people what to do. Tell them clearly and succinctly. And,
- Make that task easy to follow without deviation or question.
Those are the two simple rules. Tell people exactly what to do and then make that direction simple to execute without question.
Let us look at MacDonald’s: You walk in and your are presented a very clear menu. The menu is laid out meal 1, 2, 3 and so on. This is the direction. MacDonald’s is telling their customers to order one of those meals. After deciding what meal you wish to have to tell the cashier (or whatever their politically correct title is) your order. That is make the direction of “order that meal” easy to execute.
Is it any wonder that MacDonald’s is a global company?
So how can you put that into use with your company? Well I of course don’t know the specifics of your company so I can’t you that. But follow these simple steps and you can then implement them into your business:
- Figure out what you want your customer/client to do.
- Now figure out how you can make that easy for them to execute.
